Siboney Learning Group Leaves No Child Behind
Siboney Learning Group helps schools meet increased demands for student and school accountability and achievement.
Accountability
The No Child Left Behind Act requires every student in grades three through eight to take annual tests in reading and math based upon their state’s standards starting in 2005. Every student should achieve minimal proficiency by 2012. More immediately, all schools now need to report their state test results and demonstrate adequate yearly progress toward achieving state academic standards. Siboney software, such as Orchard For Your State, is the perfect response to these increased demands for accountability. Orchard For Your State’s standards-based reading and math assessment for grades 3-8 are available now, and are an ideal solution for schools seeking standards-based assessment.
Scientifically Based Research — Software Based Upon Best Practices . . .
Our software is based upon time-tested best practices that current research has proven to be effective across large numbers of students. For example, our early reading programs directly correlate to the National Reading Panel (NRP) research on the five key components of early reading.
| NRP Key Components of Early Reading | Orchard Programs That Teach the Key Components |
| Phonemic Awareness | Phonemic Awareness |
| Phonics | Phonics Sequences |
| Fluency | Reading Links |
| Vocabulary | Vocabulary Builders |
| Comprehension | Guided Comprehension |
Evidence of Success
Thousands of schools use our software every day to help their students succeed. Look at these stories of success!
